Who Governs Organic Food Standards in the USA?

The US Department of Agriculture (USDA)  is the governing body behind organic products in the USA. They sets rules and regulations, grades and standards, resources and market news for anyone who want more information on laws, rules and changes in the organic market sector.

Here are some guidelines directly from the UDSA resource site to guide us. Its really cool to learn about what organic really means and what extra steps are taken for a product to get this standard or grade. Look for their symbol to guide your buying choices for American made products now that you will recognize their logo.
